Can you visit the Vatican at night?
You can only visit the Vatican Museums during special opening hours on Friday nights during the summer season between April and October.
Is Vatican City open at night?
Vatican City is open at night and you visit St. Peter’s Square at any time. However, the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica have specific hours and there is only a brief season when you can visit these sights in the Vatican at night. Also, entry is extremely limited, as are tickets, so it is recommended to book well in advance.
Are there Friday night tours of the Vatican in January?
Unfortunately, there are no Friday night tours of the Vatican in January. The Vatican night tours are only available Friday nights from April until October.
Is Sistine Chapel accessible at night?
The Sistine Chapel is accessible at night only during the Vatican special summer season hours (starting at 7pm) between the months of April and October.

Your meeting point is inside the Enjoy Rome office – located on Via Germanico 8 (take Metro Line A to the OTTAVIANO stop). Please arrive 25 minutes before the start of your tour to check-in with a member of our staff.

Please note- the meeting point is inside of our office. But for security reasons, we are not able to store any personal belongings at our office – so please plan accordingly.

dress code

Please note - the Sistine Chapel maintains a strict dress code year-round. All visitors must have their shoulders covered and pants/skirts must come to the knee. And make sure to wear comfortable shoes!

The Vatican has strict security restrictions. Due to metal detectors at the entrances of most attractions it is forbidden to bring the following:

Weapons and blunt objects (knives, long umbrellas, etc.)
Glass bottles, aerosol sprays, and alcohol
Bicycles, skates and segways
Luggage
Pets

Large bags are not allowed in the Vatican. There is a free Vatican cloakroom service once you have gone through the metal detectors.

This tour is not wheelchair accessible. If you or any member of your party has difficulty with mobility (uses crutches or a wheelchair, etc.), please contact us in advance.

Private tours are available to meet these and other special needs on request and in advance.

The Vatican Museums offer free entry to all disabled visitors with certified invalidity of more than 74%. For visitors who are not self-sufficient, free entry is also extended to a companion.

i like the way the received and treated us. it is my first time in rome on a business meet.. i always wanted to have a visit to these important places in rome like vatican and colosseum. then when i landed on this site and i have opted this tour as this was the only one available for the time. i really appreciate their service and the quality of guides they keep and they offered me vatican tour for discounted price after this. i have never been on a guided tour before, but still i never felt bored at any point of the tour.. as the guide was very energetic and enthusiastic and a skilled photographer too.

Tolle Reiseführerin

Marilena war eine tolle Reiseführerin. Mit viel Wissen, Freude, Humor und Begeisterung führte sie uns durch die Tour. Sie lenkte den Blick auf Details, die wir sonst nicht wahrgenommen hätten. Leider leidet natürlich der Genuss der Kunstschätze unter dem Massenandrang und der knappen Zeit. Damit muss man leben. Wer Rom besucht, muß / will das gesehen haben. Aber für das Museum bräuchte man eigentlich viel mehr Muße - in einigen Räumen wird man vom Personal ständig aufgefordert, weiterzugehen - stehen bleiben war nicht erlaubt. Aber dafür kann Marilena nichts. Trotzdem eine lohnenswerte Tour - reibungslose Organisation.

Super Experience

Very good experience. Joined the Vatican City tour with Francesco, very good explanation and guide very knowledgable. Did not wait more than 20 minutes in the queue and tour was very flowing. Well done.
