Passing through the Gladiator’s Gate of the Colosseum, you will walk the same path as the Gladiators did…literally. This side entrance, used exclusively by gladiators, reopened in 2016 with limited access, offering a unique and immersive experience.

Admire the Roman Forum, once the site of temples, churches, senate buildings, and the most important places of the Roman Republic. The Roman Forum is one of the greatest archaeological sites in history, showcasing the grandeur of ancient Rome.

Meet inside 'Colle Oppio Park', in front of the Oppio Caffè Bar. If you arrive by Metro, from the 'Colosseo metro station' reach the terrace above the station. Walk on 'Via Nicola Salvi' about 100m. Enter to the park and look for our coordinator holding a 'White Flag' inside the 'Colle Oppio Park'. Please arrive 25 minutes before your tour start time.
A valid ID is required to enter the Colosseum.

Dress comfortably and wear comfortable walking shoes!

  • In the case of inclement weather (rain, snow, frost…), the arena floor may be closed off without notice. Entry through the gladiators’ gate will not be affected but access onto the arena floor will be prohibited. In these instances, refunds cannot be provided
  • A copy of ID is required to enter the Colosseum
  • Operates in all weather conditions – please bring appropriate clothing and water
  • The meeting time can be subject to change. In this case, we will call/text you in advance
  • Aerosols, sharp objects and large backpacks will not be allowed

A perfect way to visit the Colosseum! Skipping the line was a game-changer, especially during the busy season. The audio guide was excellent, providing detailed information at our own pace. It’s a great option if you prefer to explore on your own while still getting all the historical context. Five stars
