The tour starts by traveling by bus up the Via Veneto, famously portrayed in Fellini's La Dolce Vita,and takes a spin round the Fountain of the Naiads in the Piazza della Repubblica. The walking portion of the tour includes the famous Trevi Fountain and Piazza Navona with Bernini's famous Fountain of Four Rivers. Along the way we will admire Piazza Colonna, site of the Column of Marcus Aurelius, and the Pantheon, intended by Emperor Hadrian to have the biggest dome in the world. We will continue by bus to the St. Peter's Square passing by the Castel Sant'Angelo. At the end we visit St. Peter's Basilica and admire Michelangelo's Pieta. From the basilica, buses return to hotels and the Vastours Terminal.
Lunch.
Crossing the Quirinal Square with the presidential palace, we arrive at Piazza Venezia, with the Monument to Victor Emanuel II, the "Vittoriano." The tour continues on foot to the Capitoline Hill where we can admire the view over the Roman Forum. We will then walk along Via dei Fori Imperiali and admire the ruins of Julius Caesar's Forum, Trajan's Forum[B], and [B]Augustus' Forum. Next stop will be in front of the Colosseum. On the Colosseum square we can also see the Constantine Triumph Arch. Then we will proceed by bus to the [B]Basilica St. Paul's-outside-the-walls.
At the end of the tour return to hotels and Vastour's bus terminal.

The tour is available daily in the morning.
Departure from the Vastours bus terminal at 8.30am (free pick-up provided from centrally located hotels between 7.45am and 8.15am).
There is a dress code for this tour: shoulders and knees must be covered and men have to wear full lenght trousers.
During some religious ceremonies (the Wednesday Papal Audience, for example), St. Peter's Basilica may be closed to the public.
