First day: We leave Rome and head to Naples; after a short city tour, we proceed to Pompeii. Stop for a visit to an Ancient cameos and coral factory. Lunch at a restaurant and a guided tour of the excavations. Proceed to Sorrento for dinner and overnight.
Second day: After breakfast at the hotel, we leave by steamer for the island of Capri. Capri was discovered by Greek navigators, who colonized it in the seventh century B.C., The Romans continued to enjoy the fascinations of this island: Augustus made it his summer residence, and Tiberius did the same. Tiberius fell so in love with the island that he built twelve villas and spent the rest of his life there. Weather permitting, we will visit the Blue Grotto, one of the island's major attractions, by rowboats. Visit of the Augustus Gardens and a stop at the famous Piazzetta. Minibuses will take us to Anacapri, where we will have lunch. Afterwards, we will return back to Marina Grande to board the return steamer to Naples, and from there, head back to Rome.
Arrival back to hotels or Vastours bus terminal at about 8.30pm.
Two days with one overnight in Sorrento.
