Assisi - Orvieto bus tour

The tour takes the Autostrada del Sole past Orte and Spoleto. On our arrival to Orvieto we visit the beautiful Cathedral. On the way to Assisi we will pass by the springs of Clitumno and the small towns of Trevi, Foligno and Spello. At Assisi we will visit the Church of Santa Chiara where St. Francis was born. From the church we will continue on foot to the Piazza del Comune, site of the Palazzo dei Priori, the Palazzo del Popolo, and the Temple of Minerva.
The Basilica of St. Francis, the next stop, contains masterpieces by Giotto and Cimabue. After lunch in a local restaurant, there will be free time. The bus then takes us to the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli, the place where St. Francis lived and died. The Porziuncola Chapel merits particular interest.
Proceed to Rome with arrival at hotels or Vastours bus terminal at about 7.00pm.
One-day tour with lunch.
The tour is available from April to October on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
The tour departures from Vastour's bus terminal at 7.15am (free pick-up service provided from centrally located hotels between 6.30am and 7.00am).
